My memories of HighSchool are vague - but I remember the Theater department and laughing our a**es off with Paula Geyser.  Rest in Peace.  Our families go WAY back - in fact mom dated your uncle Lenny and probably would have married him if he hadn't died in Europe during WWII.  I will always remember you, your red hair and freckles, with a big smile. xo Mimi

Such sad news about Vicky Ganger!   I liked her very much.  She was warm, friendly and talented.  She and I sang a duet at one of those A Capella Choir variety shows.  I was clearly not as musically gifted as Vicky, and she encouraged me with her kindness.   We worked out a medley of Leavin' on a Jet Plane and Softly as I Leave You, and Vicky accompanied us on her guitar.  I remember Mr. Ellis complimenting us after our performance, although I didn't believe him when he said my voice carried all the way to the last row of the auditorium.

This is so sad. I had found and connected briefly with her a couple of months ago to find out if she was coming to the reunion. Wow. She was unaware of the event and things but also seemed kind of shocked with my poking her out of the blue. I think she had been out of touch with the class for a long time.

We were also at college (OU) together and continued our involvement in folk music interests and performance, as well as enthusiastically supporting the local SCA – Society for Creative Anachronism chapter –with an English prof faculty sponsor who was soon to be my (now previous) husband...but that's another story–.
I'll find a photo I have of her in costume, playing guitar and singing. She apparently went on to have an extensive performance, touring, and recording period with a trio of women, Victoria Ganger and the Revelers.

Sigh.

I knew Vicki for most of high school and was heartbroken to see this.  She was one of the brightest lights (including that red hair!!) I ever met.  We have lost a wonderful force of life from this world.
